RAT INFESTED BUILDING DO NOT RENT
Pros
The community of tenants is strong, mainly because of how shitty the owners and managers of this building are and that were all united against them, but the people who live here are nice, caring, and overall great neighbors. We are truly going through so much awful shit at this building but it has really been the community of tenants who’s made that I can positively say is a pro of this building. That’s about the only thing too.
Cons
There’s so much to say about how TERRIBLE management (Deepak Raj, Neera Raj, Carol Petrone, and Sittu Matthew) is at maintaining livable conditions in this building and treating their tenants with basic respect and humanity. But what I want anyone who reads this review to know is, as of August 1, 2026, 924 Metropolitan has been and continues to be infested with rats after several months of urging management to take proper action AND tenants going on rent strike. Myself and a few others have rats dying in our kitchen cabinets, closets, and even air vents. Rats can be heard in, with no exaggeration, every wall within an apartment unit. We have been trying to make noise through Reddit and local news channels like News 12 Brooklyn to get this issue out to the public. So if you are a prospect who’s looking to rent, all I’ll say is RUN AWAY FROM 924 METROPOLITAN
Advice to the owners
There’s nothing to say to them. These people will gaslight and retaliate against you.
Landlords: They can be frustrating
Pros
Great building community and neighbors who connect frequently for any issues that arise or if you need minor things like someone grabbing your mail when out of town. New laundry room, a little pricey but way more efficient and works well.
Cons
Landlords don’t always respond and can be unprofessional. Landlords can be frustrating to deal with, so have to know when to pick your battles. Package theft ever so often but mostly under control.
