Not great. A first apartment, not much more.
Pros
Located in a central part of bushwick, right next to an elementary school so you can hear kids screeching with joy constantly, has a decent backyard area that’s relatively isolated. Trash is consistent, mail arrives dutifully, packages usually land where they’re supposed to. The bedrooms are of an acceptable size with windows. That about caps it.
Cons
The 1st floor tenant is domineering, the building door locks poorly. Roaches and mice galore. Heat is hit or miss and 311 calls are required. You cash out personal security deposits with the next tenant yourself. I’d suggest against signing a lease.
