Most bang-for-your-buck compared to other luxury buildings in area
Pros
I generally like the 1BD layouts, as well as how thick the walls are compared to newer buildings. I also like the rent-stabilization.
Cons
I don't like how often the elevators go out of service, nor do I like the lack of security in the building lobbies.
If you can afford it, stay here forever
Pros
The management team, by FAR, is the number one reason why this building is as wonderful as it is. The maintenance people are super responsive and accommodating to special requests like "call me first" or "do not knock". The front desk team are super friendly and helpful. The mailroom crew remembers you by name. The building is clean, quiet, well-maintained and safe because of them.
Cons
The dog park can get very filthy very quickly. Some dog owners in this building are absolutely nasty, and unfortunately there's little way of holding them accountable other than building-wide reminder emails. Otherwise, this building's only downside is the price.
