Love it here
Pros
- Spacious layouts - Great neighborhood and close to Prospect Park! So nice to walk around this area of Brooklyn and 5 min walk to fort Greene / park slope / Clinton hill - Can’t hear the neighbors (concrete floor/ceilings) - Floor to ceiling windows with great views - Nice amenities (direct Chelsea piers access is great and at a discount) - Staff is really kind and helpful - Good quality appliances (stainless steel everything) for a rental - subway access is great, can basically get to every colored subway line easily - Trash management is great Overall I really love it here, especially compared to other luxury buildings in Brooklyn that can seem tiny or cheap quality for what you’re paying. While expensive, I think you definitely can get more bang for your buck if you can afford it and can snag one the better layouts
Cons
- dog noise is a common complaint and I’m in west tower. Tbh it can be annoying sometimes but I normally just tune it out. I’ve dealt with worse apartment noise in NYC and its worth it for the pros - water pressure could be better in the showers but it’s doable Another common complaint is smoking on floors. Haven’t noticed anything on mine but it seems to be a roll of the dice and more present on the lower floors
2 years here and would recommend, but rent in the East building
Pros
- great doormen and staff - very responsive to maintenance requests (usually resolved within hours) - incredibly maintained building - trash room is cleaned every single day and kept spotless
Cons
- small(er) unit size for the area - west building facing dog park/kids park is loud. rent in the east building to avoid have noisy apartment - finishings are not high quality (but maintenance will fix if something breaks) - weed smell permeates the floors (some are better than others)
