Nice neighbors, terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly neighbors, spacious apartment
Cons:
Infestation issues, totally unresponsive management, oddly strict rules from the super, limited laundry and trash hours, laundry often out of order, forced to take trash out into rat-infested alley, patchwork fixes that cause recurring problems

Well kept Prewar
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is well kept and clean. Despite the roaches/water bugs in the basement, I never saw a single roach in my first floor apartment.
Cons:
No sunlight whatsoever. Building is U shaped, so most apartment face inwards, giving so sunlight except for some in the bedroom. I lived on the first floor and it was especially dark. We moved out because we couldn’t even own a plant without it dying from lack of sun. Also, the management will nickel and dime you for everything. We moved in a day early and they charged us a pro-rated amount for that single day, and they didn’t tell us until after we moved in.
Advice to owner:
Don’t nickel and dime your tenants for moving in a day early.

Rent stabilized.
Cons:
Responsiveness to tenant issues.
Advice to owner:
Better responsiveness to tenant issues.
