Spaces makes it worth it
Pros
Management is responsive and willing to work with you when you contact them. Was a good price for the square footage when I first moved.
Cons
The upkeep of common spaces and packages occasionally going missing . Market rate so subject to price increases a bit too often.
Ehhh... apartment was fine but management is horrible
Pros
-Apartment itself was a huge with lots of storage space and natural light -Prime Astoria location, five minutes from the subway and steps away from everything you need. Pre-war so apartment is well build, thick walls. Never heard my neighbors
Cons
Where where to begin? Building itself is dark and dirty. People just left their rotten Daily Harvest and Food boxes in the lobby and management wouldn't do anything about it. No cameras, so packages would constantly be stolen. 34th St is a busy street so it was always loud thanks to construction, honking, and the bars from 30 ave. (I once heard someone agressively vomit outside. There's also a huge pigeon problem-- they'll hang out on your fire escape and coo so loudly you'll wake up. Super is a moron and comes whenever he feels like it (even if it is 10PM at night). He'll text you a million times that hes downstairs waiting to be let in but doesnt bother ringing the bell, and will get mad if you don't respond. Had experiences w roaches but as long as your ontop with the exterminator it should be fine. All jobs done are half-assed and more bandaids than actually being fixed.
Advice to the owners
Invest a little in the building to make it a place where people actually would want to live in.
