Pros
In some ways the building is nice, it's on a quiet street and in a good area with a lot of stores and laundry centers nearby.
Cons
The cons are not small. I left within a year of moving in because there was basically no heat (and little hot water) during the winter time when you need it the most, the management wasn't super responsive until the landlord got involved, the rent went up by 8% after my first year, when we found bed bugs the landlord refused to do an extermination, and finally when we did move out they wouldn't return our safety deposit.
Advice to the owners
The place might look nice and seems like its worth the price, but that all depends on how much you're willing to deal with having the headaches I did.
Looks nice on the outside
Pros
The apartment was recently renovated. The building and street were fairly quiet. The neighborhood is quiet.
Cons
They will not heat the building properly until you show them the law, and then they will still ignore you. Get ready to freeze all winter. The super will tell you HE likes it like that. They WILL take your security deposit and lie over what they used it for. They will do the bare minimum for repairs. Our stove didn’t work for over a week and they refused to replace it. Brought an older junky one for us. They are so cheap and must be so in debt over this building. So happy when I left
Advice to the owners
Heat your building, know that security deposits are NOT your prize to be won! Despicable.
