Landlord is crooked, don’t expect much

The apartment itself was spacious and had once been quite nice, but it was not taken care of.
Cons
Andrew Motsios has allowed the building to fall into complete disrepair. He left a gaping hole in our kitchen ceiling and never fixed it (two years). We had a wasp infestation in the walls that he refused to fix for weeks. Our heat was frequently broken and he ignored us. He never answers calls. He screens them. He refuses to get smart meters so Conedison charged us “estimated” heat and gas bills which would frequently be over $1000 per month. He left our 90 year old neighbors heat broken all winter long. He clearly does not care about tenants and does less than the bare minimum required of landlords. I cannot overstate how miserable we were in this apartment, and it was because of Andrew Motsios and his negligence.
Advice to the owners
Sell your buildings to someone who knows how to care for them, or hire people to do the work you don’t bother to do.
