Beware of Tenant Harassment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location and rent price.
Cons:
-Tenant harassment: The landlord will go into the apartment at random times when tenant is not home without the tenant's knowledge just to snoop.
-Smell of mold in the bedroom (east and south side).
-Leak onto the east bedroom floor when raining very heavily (see above).
-Disruption of "quite and enjoyment of the dwelling" (see above: tenant harassment).
There are more cons. The list goes on.
Advice to owner:
Never go into the tenant's apartment without their knowledge! It's against the law! As per NYS law, 24 hours notice or a phone call (leave a voicemail if tenant does not pick up) must be given with the exception of an emergency!
