Absolute slum, hard avoid
Pros
Cheap. Close to good food.
Cons
Management is absolutely MIA. They essentially have 1 Super managing about 10+ different buildings across Queens from what I can tell, and that Super never responds to any inquiry. Your entire bathroom broke down on a Sunday and now you have no water? Guess you better wait until next Wednesday when the Super is around your unit again. Additionally, the unit needs major repairs (can't see through like half the windows) and it never gets fixed, management says it's too expensive. No matter how much you complain nothing ever happens here. The neighbors, some are nice, most are absolute shitheads. People who spit in the hallway, smoke in the stairwells, slam the door in your face... It's very unacceptable. The neighborhood is trash, literally the entire sidewalk is always covered in garbage. Then, on top of that it's dangerous. Packages get stolen, there was a B&E attempt in the building, cops are here from time to time for DA cases, and car mirrors get jacked at night. Water pressure, and people will touch your laundry if you're more than 1 minute late to unloading the 3 not broken machines in the building, is the cherry on top. HARD AVOID.
Advice to the owners
Hire a super.
