A good spot to relax
Pros
Clean, no pest, well maintained, normally quick to respond to maintenance requests, great water pressure, quiet, walls are made of concrete cinder block so noise is not an issue most of the time, clean laundry room, the machines get messy at times but that has more to do with people not knowing how to use a freaking laundry machine, come yall, it's not that hard to use less soap, the porter keeps the room swept an free of left over laundry/items, lots of tress and green space, development has its own park with water feature, unofficial stooping areas (bulk disposal), I got a LOT of my furniture from there, free community activities, free court for every sport you could think of, several playgrounds, ice skating, privet citi bike dock, Christmas tree sale, annual junk sale, weekly farmers market, weekly clothes recycling, 24/7 clothes donation bin, there are a lot of long term residents in this building,
Cons
- Over the years, the elevator started acting up more frequently. By the time I left, it was a monthly problem. As far as I know, no one got stuck. The elevator would get stuck on a floor, opening and closing the doors but otherwise not moving. It would then start screeching, which it is programmed to do when the doors are open for to long. That screech is SO LOUD. - The kitchen sink will never give you cold water. It will be room temperature at best. - If you're super lazy, you might consider the building far away from the train. I thought it was fine. Some people did not. If you plan to stay in NYC except you have to walk. - The lady, "older"a aged looking (what ever that means), down the hall by the stairs, is nosy and mean. She made comments to my family, friends, and roommates during the 4 years I lived there. She is a miserable person. It was entertaining after a year if I am honest. She will also tell you there is a 99 year old Asian man next door to you. I think she is lying. I was there for four years and never saw this man. His door is directly next 10C.
Advice to the owners
