Spacious studio in a good building and convenient neighborhood
Pros
Neighbors are courteous and kind and many tenants have lived there for many years. They care about the other tenants. The super Joey is wonderful, responsive, and always helpful. The studio is spacious and the southern light coming in is beautiful. The view over the back garden is quiet and peaceful. The building and neighborhood feel very safe. Packages are always there even days after leaving them in the lobby. The building is generally proactive about fixing problems. I have really enjoyed living here.
Cons
A lot of construction through my past four years leading to extensive dust and dirt falling into the apartment from unpatched spots in the ceiling around the pipes. Occasional roaches. One window does not fully close from the top. Dust and dirt fall out of the fireplace if there is construction occurring in the building. The apartment is generally very hot in winter and summer, except sometimes the heat will take a while to turn on when it is very cold out. The appliances like fridge and stove are quite old and could certainly use a refresh.
Advice to the owners
Update appliances, ensure no more dust and dirt falls into the apartment by properly patching up holes.
