What does “best-water-pressure” mean on Openigloo?

It’s a building filter based on renter-reported performance signals related to water pressure. Treat it as a starting point, since pressure can vary by unit, floor, and recent plumbing work.

How does the “BXM2 bus” filter affect what I see on this page?

It narrows the results to buildings in the All Upper West Side scope that are near the BXM2 bus route, so your shortlist aligns with your day-to-day transit needs.

Are these buildings guaranteed to have strong water pressure in every unit?

No. The filter reflects patterns from renter-reported signals at the building level. You should still ask the building for current unit conditions and whether pressure differs by floor or apartment type.

What should I ask during a tour to verify water pressure?

Ask about recent plumbing/maintenance issues, whether pressure varies in certain units, and how they handle complaints. If possible, test fixtures in the exact unit you’d rent, including hot-water flow.

How reliable are the ratings behind “best-water-pressure”?

They’re based on Openigloo’s available renter signals and may reflect earlier time periods. If you’re making a decision on water pressure, confirm directly with the building before you commit.

Does this page only show rent-stabilized or other regulated housing?

This page is defined by the water-pressure and BXM2 bus filters, not by rent regulation status. Use the building details on Openigloo to verify the lease and affordability setup that applies to each specific unit.

What to check before choosing a building highly rated for water pressure near the BXM2 bus in All Upper West Side

Start with the filter pair: “best-water-pressure” plus the BXM2 bus scope, then check each building’s notes about plumbing reliability rather than only star ratings.
Before signing, ask whether water pressure has been stable recently (maintenance records if available) and whether any known issues vary by floor or unit layout.
Match your commute needs: confirm the closest stop/route timing for your usual hours and whether you’ll need a short walk from your specific entry point.
Use the building pages to compare what renters mention about hot-water flow and pressure during peak usage, not just cold-water performance.
If a building is older or has shared plumbing, ask how the building addresses repairs and how quickly issues are typically handled after reports.
