What does “best-heat” mean on this Openigloo page?

It’s based on tenant-reported heat experiences for the building. Use it to shortlist buildings where residents report better heat performance, then confirm specifics directly with the super or management.

What does the “M15 bus” filter refer to here?

It narrows the scope to Sutton Place buildings near the M15 bus route, so your building search can match your commute pattern.

How many buildings match these filters in Sutton Place right now?

Openigloo shows 20+ buildings that match this multi-filter pair (best-heat + M15 bus).

Does a high “heat” rating mean my unit will be warm all winter?

It’s a better signal than guessing, but conditions can vary by unit and floor. Ask about radiator condition, thermostat accuracy, and the building’s process when heat complaints come in.

What should I ask about heat before signing a lease?

Ask how long it typically takes to fix heat issues, what documentation you’ll receive after a complaint, and whether there are common problem areas (specific unit types, exposures, or older mechanical systems).

Are there extra costs I should budget for beyond the asking rent?

Yes. Even when buildings rate well for heat, you still need to budget the full monthly cost and move-in requirements (for example, broker fee, deposit, and any utility charges that apply).

What to check before choosing a building highly rated for heat near the M15 bus in Sutton Place

Focus on the multi-filter pair: “best-heat” (tenant-reported heat experience) plus “M15 bus” (location for your transit route).
Before applying, confirm how heat is delivered in your unit (steam vs. hot-water systems, radiator/thermostat controls) and ask what to do if heat falls short.
If the building lists any heat-related policies or maintenance contacts, read them and request the most recent follow-up timeline for issues.
Use the rated-building score as a starting point, then cross-check with tenant Q&A about responsiveness and whether problems were resolved.
Ask about full move-in costs beyond rent (broker/fees, deposit, and any utility charges if applicable), since monthly totals decide affordability.
