Many residents report severe maintenance issues, including ongoing problems with heating, gas outages, and unsatisfactory garbage management, resulting in undesirable living conditions. Unlivable conditions due to poor management

Pros

Convenient location, close to subways

Cons

The landlord is terrible and will consistently choose the cheapest possible fix instead of properly addressing problems, so issues drag on or keep coming back. We experienced two separate extended periods without cooking gas totaling over a year. We also went without heat or hot water during the winter on multiple occasions. These are basic living conditions that were not reliably provided. Despite this, management refused to offer any rent abatement or meaningful accommodation. The neighborhood is also extremely loud, and during the winter the building's pipes bang so loudly they shake the walls and can make it impossible to sleep.

Advice to the owners

Consider selling the building to an owner who will maintain the basic standards of habitability.

Horrible living conditions

Pros

Good location close to nolita and soho. Lots of restaurants around.

Cons

Insanely loud heat pipes, they sound like someone is hitting them with a hammer for 10 min every hour. It’s so loud that the walls are shaking making it impossible to sleep. Everything in the building is done so cheaply that it always breaks and falls apart. Everything the management does makes things worse. I wouldnt wish renting here on my worst enemy.

Advice to the owners

Sell the building to someone who can take care of it.
