The property’s water line broke and my apt walls and ceiling were damaged as a result. They refused to fix the damage they did even after I tried to schedule and reschedule the work repeatedly for three months . The property manager reached out to me multiple times to threaten me with fees for missing payments and that my account being in arrears. Luckily, I kept proof of on-time and full payments for every month so I was able to dispute them. I'm currently in a dispute (again) and will get a lawyer involved this time if needed. They even tried to add their coned balance to my monthly one time. The property took away the roof access and tried to increase my rent by 20% in my next renewal. Most tenants don’t last more than a year and there’s a reason. They will threaten you, try to steal from you, refuse basic maintenance for issues they create. If you want a stable sense of having a home you are better off looking elsewhere.
Advice to the owners
Sell this property to a management company that treats their tenants with dignity. It was so much better before you took over.
