Lots of problems here

Pros

I liked the size, much bigger than other units of a similar price, decent location

Cons

-Pests, cockroaches, etc -Totally inconsistent heating during the winter, some nights would be no heat at all or only on from 2-4am -Hot water and gas would go out for up to two weeks at a time, management was not very responsive to complaints, they would get to it when they decided to -Building has very thin walls and so all conversations in the hallway (and there are more than you would expect) can be heard by all tenants, lots of random entering and exiting and slamming doors at 2/3am -Tenants/super smoke cigarettes and weed in common areas, discard trash and cigarette butts in common areas -Super is nice but management doesn't let him fix much without their approval, which can take a while -some tenants were promised laundry access, which was listed on some online listings for units, this was never given to anyone. the building next door, (26 covert) has a laundry room in the basement, but nobody has been allowed to use it.

Take care of the common spaces, fix things faster, treat your tenants like human beings

Horrid Noises with Worse Management sketchy contract

Pros

1. Modern 2. Across from G train 3. Elevator 4. Rooftop

Cons

1. Next to a mosque that does a call to pray depending on the season at 3am, 1pm, 7pm 2. Management took 5 months to fix heating in unit (not sure if fixed even now) 3. You would since a lease together with neighbor - fairly certain it's illegal but your neighbor and you share the "same room" in the contract 4. Management rarely answers calls past 3pm 5. Super will likely not respond after hours (tried 4 separate occasions) 6. Party venue next door that is so loud that you may as well be there in person 7. If you are in the studio, your internet, heating, electricity fixes must match the 1 bedroom side of the floor as all of your wires/equipment run to that side - thus no maintenance can be done without a matching schedule Overall ever since changing management companies, service has been horrible and many tenants have been moving out

Have more responsible staff, separate out rooms, and deal with neighbors
