Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for buildings managed by Philip Grossman reveal significant management issues, particularly regarding ownership responsiveness and maintenance of facilities. Tenants consistently report problems with heating, cleanliness, and pest control, leading to dissatisfaction. Many renters highlight difficulties in communication with the landlord, citing slow or nonexistent responses to urgent issues. Noise levels are a common complaint, particularly for street-facing apartments, yet residents do appreciate the spaciousness and location of their units. Despite the attractive setting, potential renters should exercise caution, as substantial concerns about management practices and property upkeep overshadow the benefits.

Beautiful Apartment in a Great Location

Pros

Large apartment, crown molding, insane location, elevator. Super is amazing

Cons

Not very clean, extremely noisy. No luck going to bed early on Friday or Saturday

Would not recommend

Pros

Good location, apartment was well priced until 2026 lease renewal when landlords raised rent by $1250

Cons

Neighbor steels packages and landlord has not done anything about it despite multiple reports with photo and video evidence, month without heat in winter of 2026 where temperatures dropped below 40 degrees in the apartment, more than 20 days without consistent hot water. Super is kind but slow to fulfill maintenance requests.
