Review Summary for 103 Avenue A
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 103 Avenue A highlight its attractive location in the East Village with spacious apartments and some nice amenities like rooftop access and hardwood floors. However, persistent noise from street and nearby bars is a frequent issue, especially on lower floors. Cleanliness and pest control receive mixed feedback, with some tenants reporting bugs and poor maintenance. Many renters express frustration over the landlord's old-fashioned, unresponsive management style, citing difficulties in communication and lack of timely repairs, notably with heating and water. While the building appeals to those seeking affordable space in a lively neighborhood, prospective renters should weigh these trade-offs carefully.

Former Tenant
Pros:
Good light throughout the apt though it can vary based on floor. Building has an elevator. You can definitely get a no fee apt here by working directly with the owner. Nice rooftop access.
Cons:
It’s above many bars in EV so it’s incredibly loud every night until 4 AM. Owner isn’t responsive and very old school with manual checks.
