Pros
Great management company I’ve lived here since COVID and overall they’ve been responsive and easy to deal with. * Amazing natural light throughout the building and particularly in the apartment. * In-unit washer/dryer, plus laundry facilities in the building. * Perfect studio layout — great use of space and very comfortable. * Excellent package management system and a shared concierge, which is super convenient. * Great security with CCTV throughout the building. * Rooftop access with BBQ facilities .. a great perk, especially in summer. * Gym access within the building. * Great neighbourhood with lots of cafés and amenities nearby, and the L-line connection within ~5 minutes is a big advantage. * Overall, a very comfortable and convenient place to live.
Cons
Not many! The building is generally very well maintained. * Management can be strict around notice periods and move-out requirements. * Take photos/videos when you move in — I was charged for some floor scratches that were already present when I moved in. * The lift occasionally breaks down, although management has generally been responsive when this happens.
Advice to the owners
Just wanted to say that I genuinely had a great experience staying here. I’ve lived in a few places across NYC, and 225N9 will always be one of the best places I’ve called home. Other than the issue I had with the deposit, I really had no complaints at all. The management team was always responsive, and overall it was a really positive experience.
