Slumlord building with over 67 HPD violations

Pros

Stabilized rent in a decent neighborhood.

Cons

There's over 67 violations in this building including fire safety, pests of every kind (roaches, mice, bedbugs). We told the landlord about leaks from rooftop for over a year. The neglected leak caused a portion of the ceiling to collapse on property. Building management has barely a word to the tenants about how or when things will be repaired. To put it in other words, the building is severely neglected. It's dirty and stinky in the hallways. Garbage is everywhere. The rest of the neighborhood calls this the "mouse" building and with good reason. It's a shameful situation that there are economic predators taking advantage of people. Even the projects take better care of their property than this property "management."

Advice to the owners

Take a pause from counting your money and spend one night living in one of your disgusting buildings.
