Bad Mgmt and Worse Neighbor
Former Tenant
Pros:
My own Apartment is renovated and has nice layout but not all are the same. Only 8 apartments. Great location.
Cons:
One tenant is rent controlled and has loud fights (yelling, slamming doors, breaking furniture and glass) at all hours and plays loud music with bass that shakes the bldg. mgmt won’t do anything about that. Walls are very thin. I suspect mold in ceiling, it took over a year for them to fix water dAmage causing a hole in the ceiling. Heat didn’t work for over a year and went days without hot water. The “bad” tenant smokes inside which permeated thru the hallway, and sometimes smokes in hallway and lets very mean cat out. Won’t allow me to go month to month after 2.5 yrs.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of this tenant, otherwise I’d stay. You’re responsive to issues overall, but this is a total deal breaker.
