Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants consistently praise JP Rutigliano's buildings for cleanliness, well-organized garbage management, and effective pest control. Residents feel safe with friendly neighbors and appreciate the responsive and attentive management team, including superintendents and landlords. Common positives include maintenance responsiveness, quiet and safe environments, and good locations near transit. Some drawbacks arise from historic building constraints like unlocked front doors, occasional heating issues, noise during weekends, and older appliances. Rent stabilization applies selectively and laundry often requires payment. Overall, management is seen as proactive and tenant-focused, making these buildings a desirable choice within Manhattan neighborhoods despite minor maintenance and noise challenges.

Clean & great location

Pros

great location, close to multiple buses, Q stations, and walking distance from the 4,5,6. Very clean and new, utilities are cheap, never had an issue with pests, washer dryer in building, prices are pretty good given the location

Cons

No dishwasher, heat/ac can be not the best (had to sleep with a jacket on in the winter multiple times), smaller units, have to pay to use washer dryer
