Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by George Aryeh reflect a mixed management experience. While tenants appreciate his responsiveness and the polite, respectful neighbors, concerns frequently arise around building maintenance, heating reliability, and pest control, particularly in older buildings. Garbage management and cleanliness show variability, with some buildings requiring improvement. Certain units suffer from issues like poor water pressure, gas stove malfunctions, and lack of security measures such as cameras. Tenants suggest upgrades in infrastructure and more transparent communication about pricing and repairs. Overall, residents value the location and staff friendliness but advise caution regarding unit conditions and maintenance consistency.

Tiny, old apartments in great location

Pros

Affordable at the time, amazing location, fairly quiet at back of the building, has ceiling fans

Cons

Old building so power would go out when I used more than one kitchen appliance at a time (oven and microwave). The trash area is shared with the business next door and another building. There's no real lobby area and the entrance was sometimes dirty with water. Very small rooms and no living area, so really only good for short term. No view from back units. No AC and windows have fire escape so you need bulky standing unit or it gets very hot. You're cut off from the neighborhood during NYC Marathon day. Small closets and limited storage.

Advice to the owners

Improve heating, electric, keep rent fair for size of space
