Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Catherine Economakis reveals a mix of well-maintained properties and some with persistent issues. Residents often praise clean, safe common areas, responsive supers, and effective maintenance in several buildings, contributing to positive living experiences. However, recurring concerns include pest infestations (particularly roaches and mice), occasional heating inconsistencies, package theft, and prolonged response times in certain locations. Some tenants report noise disturbances and outdated infrastructure requiring upgrades. While many tenants appreciate the management’s efforts, others urge more proactive pest control, improved communication, and better attention to maintenance for lasting tenant satisfaction.

Great, maintenance quick

Pros

Love everything to be honest

Cons

Roaches come out

Former tenant·10 hours ago

You’re better off finding something else.

Pros

The building is in an ideal area, and the people who live here are nice. Those are the only pros.

Cons

The whole building is infested with roaches. The management does not do anything about it, and the monthly pest control they provide is definitely insufficient. You will find roaches everywhere and wish you never moved in. The building always smells musty (roach scent) and like cigarettes, since people will smoke inside. The stairwell gets so hot it’s unbearable. The washer/dryer is the loudest thing ever and it shakes the entire building, which prompts the roaches to come out. I keep my room very cold and i don’t dare walk out of my room after it gets dark, no matter what.

Advice to the owners

Hire a professional pest control company to clean out the entire building and bomb it all. Seal every entrance. Stop letting people smoke cigarettes in the building and leaving the trash outside their door when convenient - it attracts them. Be more responsive and aware of your tenants complaints.
