Move-in was smooth. The apartment is exactly as described. It's nice to go through a rental process and come out the other side without a single unpleasant surprise. That's what happened here. The apartment is in a fantastic spot - close to transit, great restaurants nearby, quiet street. I've recommended Outpost to two friends already.

Move in winter if you can - useful tip I got from a manager
Pros
One thing I didn't see anywhere online before booking: I moved in January and a manager mentioned that winter is genuinely the cheapest period. January through March, demand is low, prices are at their floor. From spring onwards it climbs significantly - students, interns, seasonal workers, newly arrived people all hit the city at once and rooms go fast. I paid less for a better room than friends who moved in during summer. If you have any flexibility on timing, it's worth thinking about. The stay itself was good - six months in Greenpoint, everything included, no major complaints.

Shared living definitely depends on who your roommates are.
