Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Justin Kaliner reveal chronic management issues, including poor responsiveness and neglect of maintenance concerns. Tenants report persistent pest infestations, heating problems, and substandard cleanliness. Many highlight unaddressed structural problems like illegal bedrooms and safety concerns, alongside slow or absent communication from management regarding repairs. Despite good locations and some updated features, renters experience significant dissatisfaction with upkeep and management attitude. Overall, prospective tenants should expect challenges in maintenance and responsiveness, with ongoing pest and cleanliness problems, reflecting poorly on the landlord’s commitment to tenant wellbeing and building standards.

Cons

Worst landlord I’ve ever had

Pros

Good location & objectively cute spot.

Cons

My unit had mice and the landlord did nothing about it. The issue was that they had created a 3rd bedroom with a pocket door and they were coming through there, so they didn’t want to spend the money sealing it. They were unresponsive and I ended up breaking my lease. Pretty shady people. The 3rd bedroom didn’t have windows either.
