Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Reviews of buildings managed by Peter Melledis reveal a mixed management experience. Tenants frequently commend his responsiveness and fairness in rent adjustments. Some apartments are well-maintained, with good location benefits and quiet, family-friendly environments. However, persistent pest problems, particularly cockroach infestations, and occasional delays in repairs and maintenance are recurring issues. Noise from neighbors and nearby establishments also affects living conditions in some properties. Garbage management is generally handled well, but some buildings suffer from cleanliness and infrastructure concerns. Overall, while management is generally approachable, improvements in pest control, maintenance timeliness, and building upkeep would enhance tenant satisfaction.

Degrading over time

Pros

Owner was very responsive, rent only increased along with city increases.

Cons

Cockroaches were out of control. Owner may have been trying, but they got worse and worse from 2020-2025.

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Good price for the space

Pros

Landlord was very responsive, apartment was remodeled before we moved in, pet friendly, not a busy street, you are the first/last stop on the N/W so you can get a seat, groceries stores and great restaurants nearby

Cons

Lots of cab and Uber drivers park on the street so parking is tough but better than other places in the city, walls were thin so hear your neighbors very easily, no laundry in building and no laundromats close by, bad ventilation in the apartment so the smoke alarm goes off all the time (and you could hear your neighbors’ go off all the time too) when you used the stove or oven.
