Very poor noise isolation, kind neighbors and super

Cons:
- Paper thin walls and floors - Building maintenance is lacking with all responsibilities put on a single person - Too much heat during winter

Hire additional building maintenance staff

Awful Building - Constant issues with Electrical, Water, and Cockroaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighbors, good sense of community
Cons:
Completely unresponsive and unreliable management, poorly maintained building, constant leaks in roof, building is infested with cockroaches and other insects. Ongoing water quality and electrical issues.
Advice to owner:
Your building needs better management and significant capital improvements

Horrible management, rent stabilized
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors, considerate and nice.
Cons:
We had issues with roach infestation, in the apartment and basement where the communal laundry room is. Few ceiling leakage that was only fixed on a surface level and they claimed to have visited for a mold inspection, but never came.

nice on the outside, but neighbors and pests are awful
Former Tenant
Pros:
-apartments are in decent shape for a pre-war building -laundry in-building, pet-friendly, and elevators -decently maintained -super is helpful and relatively responsive
Cons:
-there are a handful of noisy neighbors in the building (at at least on our floor/side) -some neighbors will leave garbage in the chute room, or animal waste in the hallway/elevator/lobby -some dog owners will allow their dogs to bark incessantly if no one's home -mice and roach problems are abundant, and property management doesn't address the issue with urgency -basement doors are constantly open, making way for pests to easily enter the building -apartment lacks a smoke detector
Advice to owner:
Please address building-wide/apartment concerns ASAP. Don't just sit on an issue. At the time of this review, the building is dealing with 2 class C building violations due to pests, and you're dragging your feet to address it. Don't just leave a sign up sheet and assume everyone knows what's going on. Actually contact surrounding apartments when there's an infestation and make it a point to get tenants to get serviced.

Prewar building and it shows
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large space, in-unit (and in building) laundry, pet friendly, safe and secure building, in building super
Cons:
Slightly renovated but needs repair, pipes are old and need replacing, roaches are a problem every summer
