Convient and Cheap

Pros

Super cheap and in a great location. The super, Oscar, is incredible. Appliances are in good shape. Water pressure is good, pests are limited.

Cons

The rooms are just so tiny. Garbage maintenance is strange. Heat is too hot. I have zero communication with the landlords/owners, not sure who they are. There are no closets in most of the space.

Advice to the owners

Figure out the garbage.

Cheap and cheap

Pros

Super is nice, apartment is spacious, taqueira across the street is great.

Cons

The building is old. The roof above our sink collapsed and caused serious water damage to the cabinetry (though no mold). We had a serious pest problem (German roaches). Building itself is not well constructed; floors are uneven, tiling is cracking, door handles falling off. Tenants leave garbage in the hallways even though there is a place to leave it. Stairways are filthy, usually at least one dead roach on the steps.
