Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by ISAAC ITAH presents a mixed picture. Many appreciate solid value, secure and private units, good heat during winter, and some spacious, updated apartments. Responsiveness is generally seen as moderate but can be slow or unaccommodating regarding maintenance scheduling and repairs. Cleanliness and garbage management vary significantly, ranging from well-kept to poor, with complaints about basement odors, trash piling up, and occasional pest issues. Security concerns and foundational problems, including flooding, have been reported in some locations. Overall, tenants find the properties livable but urge improved maintenance responsiveness, better cleaning, and addressing safety and repair concerns for a better rental experience.

Newish / cleanish / safeish

Pros

Honestly, very solid value. Great space for two, private and you don't hear your neighbors.

Cons

The basement isn't super-well kept up, so this just means it's a bit smelly / gross down there there you put your recycling and do your laundry. It also means when they take the trash out, it's done via the elevator and you smell it. There have been some issues with unauthorized access to the building (we had someone steal a watch / ipad from our bedroom, which was connected to our patio, which was accessed by someone from outside the building via the shared interior fire escape stairwell.) The actual block is a bit meh but two blocks towards Clinton hill or Fulton street are quite nice. There have been

Advice to the owners

Generally, folks are pretty responsive, and the building in good enough shape for the value you should continue to have no problem finding new tenants.

Nice place but poor maintenance

Pros

Nice place, updated kitchen, great private outdoor space for units 1&2, residential neighborhood, reasonable rent

Cons

Management is unresponsive and un accommodating with requests for maintenance, they will give you a eta of 9am-4pm to be available for a handy man which is totally unrealistic for folks who have in person 9-5 jobs, maintenance jobs are poorly done, low water pressure
