Review Summary for Tennyson Arms, LLC
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for TENNYSON ARMS, LLC properties reveals generally well-maintained buildings with attentive superintendents and responsive management. Cleanliness and garbage management are consistently praised. However, noise transmission between units is a recurrent issue, with many renters suggesting improved soundproofing. Heating systems vary in effectiveness, occasionally leading to discomfort. Some tenants report occasional maintenance challenges, such as malfunctioning washers, dryers, and elevators. Illegal subleasing has also been raised as a concern affecting tenant experience. While many residents appreciate the community and overall building upkeep, noise and heating remain areas needing attention for enhanced tenant satisfaction.

Slumlord subleaser in building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Majority of the time great neighbors and supers are awesome
Cons:
Please do NOT let slumlord sub leaders take over building!!! Have multiple tenants now living above me, no rugs, a dog and cat loud get togethers (pounding on the floors NO RUGS from midnight on including mid week) unit it technically rented to a married couple that is 60+…..but I’ve never seen even when I’ve gone upstairs
Advice to owner:
Pay attention to units and units being subleased to MANY people illegally

Pleased Tennyson Tenant
Former Tenant
Pros:
I've lived in this building for several years, and overall love living here. The apartment is beautiful. Great location- close enough to Austin, but far enough to have less street noise. We've never had any major issues- Carlos, the super has always been responsive and courteous in all the years we've lived here. Pretty clean.
Cons:
Unfortunately, you can hear everything through the floors- even with rugs. Also, the heat is sweltering when it's on, and opening the window doesn't seem to help a ton, unless there's enough of a breeze.
Advice to owner:
Perhaps some type of noise barrier insulation? Also, if there are any spare rooms for this, a gym in building would be amazing.

Nice Block - Noisy Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is clean and the super is very nice.
Cons:
You can hear everything your neighbors do - every conversation - every bathroom use.
Advice to owner:
Invest in better soundproofing

Not worth it.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building staff does a great job making sure sidewalks are well shoveled when it snows.
Cons:
VERY poorly heated. Washers and dryers often out of service or not working well. Elevators often get stuck.
