Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Aaron Kitaeff reveals a mix of positives and areas needing improvement. Residents appreciate the spacious, well-heated apartments and friendly neighbors, as well as responsive superintendents and convenient locations near amenities. However, cleanliness and garbage management are commonly criticized, with reports of trash odors and pest issues, particularly roaches, exacerbated by garbage stored indoors. Timeliness of owner responsiveness is sometimes lacking, and building maintenance varies. Tenants advise enhanced cleaning routines, better pest control measures, and improved garbage storage solutions to uplift living conditions. Overall, management demonstrates attentiveness but must address sanitation and pest control to meet tenant expectations.

This apartment will be missed forever

Pros

I really loved the layout of the apartment, it was also very bright , the wood floor is new and shiny . The heat was never a problem and the apartment was always warm during the coldest months ! There was enough space to store a lot of things .the súper was pretty responsive . And I really loved the neighbors. The price was amazing for the space and the location

Cons

The cons was the absence of the elevator . The stairs was not cleaned properly And the garbage was stored in the lobby

Not a clean building

Pros

Neighbors are kind, apartments are a good size

Cons

This is not a clean building. The garbage is kept in the lobby of the building, so 1) the building consistently smelling like garbage (especially in the summer right now, it is extremely smelly) and 2) this exacerbates the roach problem in the building. Even if you are a clean tenant and able to maintain your own unit, this building has a bad bug problem due to the garbage and certain units clearly not being taken care of. Monthly exterminator visits are clearly not enough. Management shrugs their shoulders and say's "It's NYC!" In all my time in the city, this is the worst building I've lived in.

Advice to the owners

ACTUALLY take care of the bug problem. Garbage should be stored OUTSIDE.
