Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Marc Ehrlich reveal a largely positive tenant experience, characterized by excellent cleanliness and responsive management. Residents appreciate the friendly staff and efficient maintenance services, and many highlight the well-organized amenities. However, concerns have been raised regarding rising rents, the cost of gym access, and occasional issues with elevator wait times. Some tenants noted unsatisfactory management responsiveness and commented on the building's exterior cleanliness, specifically regarding nearby litter. Overall, Marc Ehrlich's properties are well-regarded, though some improvements in management practices and amenities upkeep could enhance tenant retention.

Great place to live

Pros

Generally very well managed. Common areas are clean, maintenance is responsive to requests, package room is organized and has never lost or misplaced any of my things. Front desk and doormen are helpful and they actually check if guests are invited and don’t just let anyone in. No pest issues in 4 years, utilities work well, A/C, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc.

Cons

There are a wide variety of amenities but they are not that well taken care of (other than the gym). The pool and ping pong tables are a bit dilapidated as is the golf simulator. They could all use a refresh.

Advice to the owners

Keep doing what you’re doing but please invest a bit more into the amenities.

Great building and staff

Pros

The apartment units are nice, and the building staff is great. The location is also really convenient -- you can get pretty much anywhere in the city within 1-2 trains.

Cons

They recently changed it so that you have to pay for the building gym. The gym is fine, but it's small, and the class offerings are sparse for the price.
