Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants report mixed experiences with Robert Cohen's buildings. Positive feedback is given for responsive supers in some locations, decent garbage management, and good community atmosphere, especially in West Village sites. However, many reviews highlight chronic pest infestations, mold issues, and inconsistent heating. Noise and package theft are frequent complaints, along with slow and sometimes unhelpful owner responsiveness, mainly in northern Manhattan buildings. While a few tenants appreciate the location and affordability, others cite outdated facilities and safety concerns. Overall, tenants suggest enhancing pest control, improving maintenance responsiveness, and addressing security and noise problems to better tenant satisfaction.

Average WV apartment!

Pros

The handyman Santos is amazing!!! He was so quick to come help with things that he could. W/D was nice.

Cons

Rent went up a fair amount each year, and the layout of the 2 beds is a bit weird. The bathroom is tiny, and both rooms are pretty small for what you pay. Washer / dryer in unit was nice, but the W/D was kind of moldy / didn't work well, and they weren't the most responsive to fixing it. The super / landlord was a bit harder to get in touch with. Our gas was broken for a few months and they offered us nothing to fix it. Lots of package theft.

Advice to the owners

Put cameras / better security for the packages.
