Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Rocco Sacco reveals significant management shortcomings. Tenants frequently report severe maintenance issues including persistent rodent infestations, water leaks causing damage and mold, unsafe heating systems, and structural problems such as falling ceilings. Garbage management and cleanliness are consistently poor, with trash accumulation and unsanitary conditions reported in common areas. Residents also highlight unresponsive and inattentive management and superintendents, often failing to address urgent repairs or safety hazards timely. Despite favorable locations and spacious units, the overall tenant experience is negatively impacted by neglectful building upkeep and ineffective management practices, suggesting urgent need for renovation and improved responsiveness.

The worst place ever

Pros

The location and price were great, big bedrooms with closets.

Cons

Management sucks. Seriously. The buildings is really breaking down and management blames you. I had over $3000 worth of furniture/linens/rugs damaged by a leak and they didn't show up to fix the leak for several days. the heat never worked, there were mice EVERYWHERE (even after the exterminator came several times). A window just fell out once and glass shattered everywhere, the landlord didn’t fix it for 4 months. The trash “room” (a closet full of rats) was located on the first floor and the lobby reeked. Maybe that’s where all the mice came from?

Advice to the owners

condemn the building honestly.

Nightmare of an Apartment

Pros

Location, decent size bedroom

Cons

Mice, leaks, constant issues, inconsistencies in temperature (heat on in summer not on in winter), brown water from faucets, literally everything was a nightmare.

Advice to the owners

Hire new super, be more responsive, renovate properly, get the rodents under control.
