Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants report that MAGDALENA KOSZ manages buildings with variable upkeep, often showing responsiveness through attentive supers, but owner responsiveness can be slow or lacking in some locations. Common issues include aging infrastructure, pest problems, inconsistent cleanliness, and maintenance delays, particularly for leaks and pest control. Garbage management quality varies, with some buildings facing ongoing trash and pest challenges. Noise and neighbor quality differ widely between properties. Rent-stabilized units tend to have more satisfied tenants who praise location and community feel. Overall, management is fair but could improve by enhancing maintenance timely response, pest control efforts, and thorough cleanliness.

Convenient but difficult

Pros

Quick rental, old building. The super is pretty responsive. Very tiny apartments at market rent in an incredibly convenient location.

Cons

Note: New rent payment service that charges $1.50 to process rent payments. Ceiling fell in bathroom; cleaned quickly. Leaking apartments fixed as thoroughly as possible. Rickety stairs. Both responsible and irresponsible students as neighbors as well as very courteous single professionals. Walls are paper thin so expect an intimate living experience. I am actually fond of this building, the location is outstanding and the building quirkiness has charm.

Walk up building, older building, main areas not very well kept, have to walk through bedroom to get to bathroom
