Very responsive Super

Pros:
Love the neighbors and the noise level. No thin walls, never feel disturbed. Our doorman Gary is the nicest guy always looking out for the tenants. Mario our super is extremely responsive.
Cons:
There are some pest issues at times. A few roaches I’ve noticed here and there even in my very clean apartment. But as soon as requested pest control, Mario had them come same day to take care of it.
Advice to owner:
None that I can think of.

Doorman, neighbors, pre war
Cons:
The management company and owners are crooks. Never returned deposit, blocked all of our calls. Paid our rent on time throughout Covid then increased our rent and the apartment sat empty. The responsiveness to problems was non existent. Accused us of not paying rent more than once then we had autopay. Truly the worst type of landlords

Advice to owner:
Get rid of Carole, she does not answer the phone, only responds via email, does not fully read emails, does not answer questions, doesn’t not make sense when she does respond, sentences are incomplete / misspelled words/ contains bad grammar...For several months I received a bill for double the rent which was wrong but when I contacted her she blames us for the companies bad book keeping. Current and past tenants I have spoke too agree that her conduct is unacceptable. If you make a minor complaint she will try to manipulate you and blame you. The turnover with tenants is high. The one and only reason people stay is due to the school nearby. You will find similar comments on Yelp or even a simple google search for grey stone management. Furthermore, the building is nice but it’s overpriced. Carole has a nick name between clients/staff and it’s the “red devil”. That is a truly sad statement.

Great UWS Bldg

Pros:
Such a great bldg. Classic UWS. Great location to everything.
Cons:
Bridge and tunnel Westside Hwy traffic backs up, cars block the boxes, horn blowing starts. Rush hour is no fun.
Advice to owner:
Great job. Great staff.

Clean, Quiet Building

Pros:
Great building with an incredible super. The building common spaces are cleaned twice per week. Everything is in great shape for an older building
Cons:
There are a few roaches in the basement, likely because of construction next door. The laundry area is not the nicest.
