Not bad but could be better

Pros:
The super is very responsive.
Cons:
Common hallways are dirty. Unsure if this is the responsibility of the building management though or if the residents are responsible. We were not made aware of it. Building is old.

All reported issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
Cons:
Been living in this building for 25+ years. When management office is called to report apartment issues for maintenance their office staff always has a way of talking to you in a very condescending and bothered tone. It’s very off putting. Building superintendent and his workers also do horrible quick fixes and undermine you as a tenant of your own apartment.
Advice to owner:
More effort should be placed on how maintenance issues are handled and fixed. There should be a higher standard and be respectful of peoples living spaces. Frequent floor cleanings such as mopping should be done in the building as the last superintendent did. You can see stains and smudges on the floor due to lack of cleaning.

Management and super are responsive, kind, and respectful. Building is older but is well maintained and super does a great job of providing tenants with any necessary updates/info.
Cons:
Water pressure not great but other than that no complaints.

bar below is very loud and street noise is pretty loud; some of the units are in very rough shape and are not super functional (no storage space, shower is separate from bathroom etc)
Advice to owner:
units need upgrades and better insulation for sound

Cheap rent. Close to subway lines.
Cons:
The neighbors are soooo loud. They party all day and night on the warm days. Mice run like crazy and you can't have pets. Things break and they don't get fixed. The super is never around and calling him achieves nothing. I've had at least one ceiling leak every year.
Advice to owner:
Hire a new super. Fix your property.

Comfortable building in good location

Pros:
Responsive live-in super, good security, big renovated apartments, laundry and elevator, close to 1 train, solid pest control. Building felt very well taken care of and safe.
Cons:
Broadway in this area gets fairly noisy. The management is old-school and doesn’t do anything online so paper and in-person meetings are necessary. The gas went out and we lost access to our stove and laundry for nearly 4 months. We were given a hot plate but it took a long time to finally fix. There were several leaks from the apt upstairs that and when they were eventually fixed the rooms were never fully repainted.
Advice to owner:
Developing a more convenient online way to report problems or get in touch with management would make things much easier

Leaks, mice and lackluster repairs

Convenient to trains.
Cons:
This building is constantly dirty.
Lackluster & minimal "repairs" for extreme conditions repairs. If they make repairs at all.
Numerous neighbors including myself have complained about MICE.
Frequent leaks or water backups in the pipes. Leaks also from floor to floors in multiple dwellings and across many apartment lines
They've constantly received tickets for trash and so they have moved their trash into a gated area off the street.
I pay way too much.

Big apartment but major roach problem

Location great, apartment size great, laundry in building
Cons:
I had a roach problem almost the entire year I lived here. We think they got in through the dishwasher from one of the restaurants downstairs (we were on the second floor) and we called to try and get it fixed and no one ever followed up.
Advice to owner:
Make it easier to report issues and be more responsive.
