Overall decent apartment

Pros

No pest problems inside, great hot water, good location and nice tenants.

Cons

Super is rude (although usually responsive). Trash cans are infested with rats.

The building has an elevator, which is great, and many apartments have a small balcony, which is rare for such affordable rent. But there are other big issues

Cons

The landlord needs to be reminded 3-4 times to do things. Loud and disruptive construction is always happening on this block, it’s really inconvenient and adds time to your morning commute. Panhandlers hang out on this block and it doesn’t always feel safe. Packages get stolen and the door gets left open for hours at a time, unsupervised, while people are moving in.
