Clean and simple

Pros:
Basic place, pretty good management. it's clean, safe, and laundry in the building. Rent controlled.

Kitchen is TINY and smells old but what can you do

Have lived here for a few years. Majority is younger adults but some families in here. Apartment is standard for nyc

Good, old, building

Pros:
On a pretty block, not particularly loud especially for new york. Management company feels old school, send paper checks, very reasonable increases & likes long term tenants. They respond promptly. Generally good neighbors living in the building!
Cons:
It's an old building, the apartment doors themselves let quite a lot of noise through so you will be heard and hear others. A small amount of mouse and roach issues, nothing too crazy.

This apartment traumatized me for life

Pros:
Cheap. That’s literally it.
Cons:
TERRIBLE mouse problem. I lived on the sixth floor and had persistent problems that were never fixed, and the landlord tried to gaslight me into thinking we were the only unit that ever had a problem and we were the problem. I literally am so paranoid now about mice.
Advice to owner:
Seal up for mice and get rodent control

Decent but not great!

Pros:
I always felt really safe in the area no matter what time of day I was walking around.
Cons:
The water pressure wasn’t great, and having to go outside to access the laundry room was a BIG struggle in the winter.
Advice to owner:
A little more attention paid to the tenants would be nice. Emails were answered in a really rude tone.

Just not a great building construction wise.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the building. Do some renovations.
