Smooth Last-Minute Move
Pros
I was scrambling to find a place in New York on very short notice and honestly did not expect much. The room itself is clean, the building is well-located, and I already feel at home.
Cons
The move-in instructions could have been a little more detailed, but everything worked out in the end.
Advice to the owners
Keep improving the onboarding process for new residents, especially those relocating on short notice.
My room is great
Pros
I arrived with one suitcase, no US contacts and no credit history. Googled "furnished room NYC no credit check" and Outpost was first. Booked in two days. It gave me time to get settled before committing to anything longer. That flexibility is the whole point. My room is lovely - well-furnished, clean, good natural light. The Outpost team has been responsive whenever I've reached out.
Cons
The one thing I'd flag is that shared spaces depend entirely on who you're living with. I've had to do more than my share of cleaning because a couple of roommates don't seem to take it seriously. I understand Outpost can only do so much, but a bit more active enforcement of house rules would make a real difference. Otherwise, happy here.
