Falling apart, but also amazing

Pros

I love the actual space itself. Big rooms, plenty of closets, lots of original charm. Beautiful neighborhood, great neighbors. I have paid rent late with zero fees. There is a manned elevator that accepts packages, there is storage you can rent in the basement, in building laundry, pet friendly, if you are the front of the building the views are stunning.

Cons

TERRIBLE responsiveness. I have gone on rent strike twice to get major things fixed. Constant leaks from apartments above, mold, hiring poorly experienced trades people to come fix ongoing issues, literally half the building is on rent strike because of ongoing unresolved issues (on the bright side there is a lawyer we have all been using who is very familiar with JK management), pests, the power goes out in the summer because of the air conditioners running. The in building laundry only has 5 washers for a building with a 101 units and often one or more of them are down. I have put in new light fixtures and the electrician told me to get renters insurance ASAP because the wires look old and ready to fry
