Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews highlight buildings owned by Abraham Reiss as having a mix of positive and negative aspects. Tenants appreciate rent stabilization in some buildings and responsive management. However, issues such as poor pest control, slow maintenance, and inadequate heating systems have been recurring concerns. The management's shortcomings in addressing building maintenance, pest problems, and responsiveness have led to tenant dissatisfaction. Despite some positive qualities like location and spacious layouts, overall, there is a need for substantial improvements in building upkeep and owner responsiveness for a better living experience.

Okay Rent-Stabilized - Get what you pay

Pros

- Rent-stabilized building, cheap for the area - Super/Management are very responsive

Cons

- Poor ventilation and insulation in rooms leads to HIGH humidity 80%+.

Former tenant·7 months ago

overall a great space and good place to live

Pros

Large space, recently redone, haven’t had big pest issues (knock on wood). It’s also quiet with relatively thick walls. Trash and recycling removal is regular.

Cons

Cold in winter and lack of heat control. Water takes a long time to get hot and often pressure varies. A/C situation requires window units that don’t always do the job in summer. Typical problems of an older building
