Great rent stabilized building
Pros
Super kind neighbors. Not a social building but perfect for a couple. Big apartments with excellent natural light. Great deal for what you get lots of space.
Cons
Sometimes the water will get shut off with a nights notice, and they’ll put a paper in the elevator. Everything is by hand, and pay by check. Hot water sometimes can be on the warm side.

Cockroaches constantly. It ruined any positive aspects of being in the apartment. We kept clean (very very crazily clean) as can be, as we somewhat anticipated it. It didn’t matter. We encountered cockroaches many times and they were huge and fast.
Advice to the owners
The whole building is clearly infested. Bring a serious exterminator. Not one who just puts sticky traps that are really for mice.
