Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Jung Chun reveal a mixed picture. Many appreciate the favorable locations, decent apartment sizes, and friendly local amenities like the deli downstairs. However, common complaints focus on cleanliness issues at move-in, delays in maintenance and pest control responses, and poor garbage management. Noise from neighbors and street activity is noted, though some find the buildings relatively quiet. Responsiveness from management varies widely, with some tenants praising promptness while others describe the landlord and super as unresponsive or rude. Overall, renters should expect a building with good potential but may face challenges in upkeep and management responsiveness.

Good price but hard to get issues resolved

Pros

Good location, friendly deli staff, quiet if in back of building.

Cons

Unit was filthy upon move-in. By the end of the first night the bottom of my socks were caked in dirt from the floors. Dead flowers from previous tenants left on the fire escape. Several fixtures missing parts, paint peeling in bathroom. It took months in most cases to solve these issues because management is so slow to respond and doesn't seem to care. When we had rats we were told an exterminator wouldn't be sent for over a week. Feels like pulling teeth trying to get issues resolved and eventually we stop trying when we get no response. The super gives you attitude when you call/text with pressing issues like it isn't his job to be on-call in those situations.

Advice to the owners

Clean units before renting them out and be more responsive to maintenance/pest control requests.

Decent apartment for price

Pros

In a great neighborhood with a lot to do and restaurants to go to. Big kitchen

Cons

Garbage was only picked up a few times a week and sat in the halls.
