Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for 65 WYCKOFF LLC reveal significant management shortcomings. Tenants consistently report severe pest infestations (mice, bedbugs, roaches) that remain unresolved despite multiple exterminator visits. Building maintenance is poor, with leaking roofs, broken doors, mold, and faulty heating systems that cause discomfort and safety hazards. Garbage management and cleanliness are rated very low, contributing to unsanitary conditions. Management and owner responsiveness appear inadequate and slow, often ignoring tenant concerns and failing to address recurring problems effectively. Although the location is appreciated, renters strongly advise improved responsiveness, pest control, and comprehensive building repairs to enhance living conditions.

House of Horrors

Pros

The neighborhood feels like a community and it’s close to amazing restaurants, although it is on the peak of extreme gentrification.

Cons

Update: I no longer reside here but after the tenant moved out the drama subsided however the building is infested with rodents! We had two mice running rampant in our apartment for months and the property owners did little to nothing to resolve the issue. We literally had to catch the mice with our bare hands because none of the traps worked and the landlord kept sending the same useless pest control company. There are also several leaks in the roof that leak into apartments and there are roaches and bedbugs. Drama lives here! The tenant in 2L is completely unhinged! The building drama is centered around this tenant and his inability to control his emotions, music volume and stench. I’ve never experience anything like this in my life. He has several cases with previous tenants that he’s ran out of the building and the building management does little to resolve issues. The police are called regularly and there is always yelling and screaming in the building. The icing on the cake is the roof is in horrible condition so water leaks in the hallway and the top floor units. Update: the tenant moved out but issues with pests persist. I’ve seen a mouse literally crawl under the front door into the unit next to us. Management sends exterminators that do absolutely nothing. The entire building is infested with bugs and rodents. Several tenants have had bed bugs as well. Issue never get resolved and when people are sent to make improvements, they do nothing. It’s all a cover so that it appears as if management is listening to the tenants needs. The city needs to come and do something because the conditions are hazardous.

Advice to the owners

Take your tenants needs seriously, be more responsive and compassionate to people’s livelihoods. Maintain the cleanliness and structure of the building— its falling apart.

Terrible and frustrating

Pros

Location and that’s it

Cons

Constantly dealing with mice, leaks, cracks, mold, and minimal if any response from maintenance or management. We had bed bugs and ants. There’s always trash left on the landing from neighbors. The appliances are old and are barely functional.
