Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of buildings managed by Abraham Vallach reveal a stark contrast in experiences. While some renters appreciate the spacious apartments and favorable location, many express dissatisfaction with poor cleanliness, unresponsive management, and ongoing pest issues. Key concerns include malfunctioning elevators, inconsistent heating and hot water, and inadequate garbage management. Security is also a worry, with frequent package theft reported due to broken entry systems. Overall, prospective tenants should be prepared for a mixed living experience, where the amenities may not be sufficiently supported by management effectiveness, resulting in a less-than-ideal environment.

Reviews

Former tenant·just now

Okay building, could be better

Pros

Big apartments with updated kitchen

Cons

Elevators break down, stairs are dirty, heat sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Packages get stolen easily

Former tenant·8 months ago

Good value for what it is

Pros

Stabilized market rates for rent, improved responsiveness to arising issues like minor repairs, and pest control. New boiler installed and all heat and hot water issues practically eliminated.

Cons

Occasional pest issues, especially since the installation of the new boiler, though expect this to be resolved over time.

Advice to the owners

Be better at communicating with tenants in advance, be responsive to issues as they arise.
