Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Jacob Schwartz reveal persistent challenges, particularly with slow and delayed maintenance and repairs. Many residents report issues with pests, heating, and cleanliness, alongside complaints about garbage management and noise levels. Responsiveness from management is frequently described as insufficient, with multiple requests often needed to prompt action. Positives include decent water pressure, good neighbors, and convenient locations with large room sizes. Tenants recommend more proactive upkeep, quicker repairs, and better pest control to improve living conditions. Overall, management appears to be reactive rather than proactive, leading to frustration and mixed recommendations from residents.

Could use some work

Pros

Easy access to transportation.

Cons

They should design and paint the building more. Keep the people from smoking in the hallway because the smell is too strong. They take too long to repair stuff in the apartment; you have to keep calling the office to remind them of the repairs you need. Sometimes it takes months or years for repairs to be made, even with simple repairs that shouldn't take months to do.

Advice to the owners

You should be on top of the repairs. You don't do much to help make repairs happen fast and smoothly.
