Reviews

Former tenant·just now

OK for the time being not long term.

Pros

The new super Mario is nice and responsive. I have seen an improvement overall after he came. He planted seeds in the front area of the building and they’re growing nice. The building is in a nice area. Porters are nice but there’s a very old man who shouldn’t be working with all the heavy trash.

Cons

Stairs are often dirty, noisy neighbors and nothing absolutely nothing is done about it from management. So, come move in here if you like to be loud because you will not get any consequences!! :) the outside of the building always smells like pee because people let their dogs pee in the front for some reason. I have a dog too, but I do not let him pee in front of the building.

Advice to the owners

Respond to your emails. Deal with issues and stop ignoring everything that is sent to you. When someone moves in, TEACH THEM to log into the app for the front door, TEACH THEM the code to open the door from your phone. Don’t just wait for them to have to email you. This should be done upon move-in! This building could be so much better and filled with nicer tenants that follow rules if you just enforce them. Wild concept, I know.

This building is bad… BUT no pests and very pet friendly

Pros

I’ve had no pest issues, the current super Mario is nice, very pet friendly, good water pressure, privacy(super doesn’t come unnecessarily), rent stabilized!

Cons

Mold, lack of owner accountability, dirty hallways, rusted fire escapes, hoarders and college students as neighbors, wrong priorities (ex: broken front door for weeks but painting the garbage hallway), disgusting washing machines, old super was homophobic and awful and tried to extort me on multiple occasions,

Advice to the owners

Hold onto Mario as a super; fix/oil up the fire escape ladders, but overall thank you for there not being pests. Tito the pest guy is great.
